Natalie brings virtual reality to life

Natalie Roos is co-founder and the lead artist at AxioVR, a company that designs customised virtual reality paradigms to help clients prepare for and understand real-life situations. With a background in spatial design and conception, she brings the visual design and overall virtual reality experience to life once the engineering and coding teams completed the invention's functionality. 

Natalie also engages with prospective clients or users and conceptualise specific projects before the process of development begins. 

She brings the team her experience in sales, which helps her to connect with prospective clients. "I also bring my unique ability to visualise a concept and bring the vision of the client to life," Natalie says. "The key here is to create this VR experience for clients within minimal budgets and using innovative ways of delivering AAA quality at a fraction of the price."

Seeing the end result and enjoying the reactions of users in a VR environment is what motivates Natalie. "Knowing we've created an experience most people have never been exposed to before is just amazing."

If Natalie could fix one problem in the world, it would be education and making resources available to educate children. “As the great Nelson Mandela said: ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’”

“The power of education extends beyond the development of skills we need for economic success. It can contribute to nation-building and reconciliation. A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination,” says Natalie

 For her, an entrepreneur should have the following three characteristics:

• Belief in your vision and yourself

• Solve a problem or requirement first (she is a very firm believer in function before aesthetics) and 

• Patience! Everything takes time and always be willing to pivot fast when opportunity presents itself.
