Stellenbosch Network celebrating three years of building bridges
Three years ago, Stellenbosch University's Innovus had a vision to establish a cross-sector and interdisciplinary membership organization to support local innovation and entrepreneurship in the Stellenbosch region. In November 2019, Stellenbosch Network (SN) was launched with support and funding from Stellenbosch University, Department of Science and Innovation’s Regional Innovation Support Programme, Remgro, Stellenbosch Municipality, Wesgro, Ranyaka, Winetech & Capitec. Three years later, SN has 230 member companies: from small to medium businesses and bigger corporates.

Innovation takes centre stage at Innovus Excellence Awards

Gradlinc: addressing South Africa's graduate unemployment crisis with a simple solution
An innovative graduate career development platform — Gradlinc — was launched at the beginning of Stellenbosch University's 2022 graduation week on 5 December 2022.
Gradlinc is a must-needed solution to connect employers, graduates, and universities on a national cloud-based platform. The platform's unique matching algorithm ensures that employers' job requirements match very precisely with the graduates' skillset. Gary Muizenheimer wants to help build a sustainable Stellenbosch University
Gary Muizenheimer, the newly appointed Director: Operations at SUNCOM, comes with experience in multiple industries and has many stories to tell from his career. From heading up a commercial division for South Africa's biggest soccer club Kaizer Chiefs FC to pioneering the incubation of strategic and innovative products and services at the University of South Africa (UNISA), while raising three young children with his wife.
