Innovus, Stellenbosch University Technology Transfer company, is looking for a Manager: Stellenbosch University Shops at Factory 209 (Pty) Ltd (F209), a company wholly owned by the University.
The incumbent will be responsible for the effective co-ordination and functioning of all aspects of the SU Stores to improve profitability and customer satisfaction and to expand the brand exposure of Stellenbosch University. The incumbent will also be responsible for the protection of the SU trademarks in line with the Corporate Identity Framework.
F209 is a special purpose vehicle that was established to develop, implement and maintain commercialisation initiatives at Stellenbosch University (SU). F209 staff will work in very close collaboration with SU stakeholders as well as external stakeholders.
Critical performance indicators
Promotion of brand exposure
National qualification in Business Administration or similar
Minimum of 4 years management experience in similar environment
Knowledge of textiles
Proven quality control experienced in similar environment
Proven experience in trademark products development and promotion
Prior experience in management of staff
Experience in financial management of stores
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in the reconciliation of Point of Sale systems and financial systems
Advanced MS Excel skills
Prior experience in online sales (recommended)
Good leadership skills
Loyalty with a sense of responsibility
Positive attitude towards customer satisfaction
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to be innovative
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to effectively deal with conflict
